How to formulate with SenoCellTec™

Have you read the opening line of the SenoCellTec™ brochure?

“A Three-Step Approach for Age-Defying Skin - SenoCellTec™ is a next-generation approach for skin rejuvenation that targets the root causes of aging at the cellular level. Its unique clear – fill – revive strategy begins by eliminating harmful senescent “zombie cells” with senolytics to restore an optimal skin environment.”

With this innovative concept, you can create just about any anti-aging skin care cosmetic product you want. The formulation guideline promises almost limitless fun and creativity in the development process. Aside from a few boundaries, such as staying within the skin-neutral pH range and avoiding ethanol concentrations above 70%, the possibilities are wide open. Take a look at the formulation guideline and see for yourself.

Of course, we have prepared some inspiration for you again this time, including a special giveaway you can pick up at InCosmetics Asia in Bangkok, among other places.

Our Thai partner development laboratory has developed Booster Concentrate Drops with SenoCellTec™, tailored specifically for the Asian market.

The concentrate drop trend has been around for several years now and is here to stay. These versatile concentrates make it easy to combine our favorite cosmetic products and boost our daily skincare routine. Here, too, there are no limits to your creativity: users can apply the drops directly to the skin to add an extra step to their skincare routine. Alternatively, they can dispense 1-2 drops in the palm of their hand and mix them with a serum, fluid, or cream, thereby creating a personalized boost tailored to their skin needs.

Personally, I like combining it with my makeup, which is more of a tinted, light emulsion, giving it an extra skincare component.

But let's get to the production: the concentrate is a thin liquid gel. Heating phases A/B accelerate the hydration process and promote the formation of a lump-free gel phase. Optionally, phases A/B can be homogenized afterwards if there are still non-hydrated components in the gel.

The premixed phase C/D can then be added to the cooled gel. At this point, it is important that phase C/D is not homogenized, as strong shearing can cause a white emulsion to form.

Once a clear gel has formed, phase E and SenoCellTec™ can be stirred in homogeneously. Again, please do not homogenize at this point! Just stir.

Finally, the pH value must be checked. If it is not within the desired range, it can be adjusted with sodium hydroxide solution (10% sol.) or citric acid (30% sol.).

On request, our drops can of course also be combined with other active ingredients.

Have fun developing and combining our Booster Concentrate Drops with SenoCellTec™.
