IFSCC 2025
Cosmetic Science meets Glamour and Beauty
Last week, several members of our team had the opportunity to attend the 35th IFSCC Congress 2025, held at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes from September 15th to 18th. The International Federation of Societies of Cosmetic Chemists (IFSCC) is a global organization dedicated to promoting international collaboration in cosmetic science and technology. The annual IFSCC Congress is recognized as one of the leading scientific events in the cosmetics industry, offering a unique platform to engage with experts and discover the latest advancements and innovations in cosmetic research.
We were proud to contribute to this conference with three scientific posters showcasing our most recent research, including:
- The work on a recombinant human collagen III from moss protonema cultures as a new vegan collagen alternative, a collaboration with Prof. Dr. Reski from University of Freiburg in Germany,
- the work on a gentle alternative to AHAs in improving desquamation in collaboration with OxiProteomics in France,
- and the establishment of an in vitro model for the transition of differentiated preadipocytes to myofibroblasts to screen potential modulators for cosmetic applications”, a collaboration with DIVA Expertise in France.

The posters were presented by Dr. Franziska Wandrey, Dr. Giovanna Grigolon, and Dr. Katharina Kappler from our Research team. Dr. Stephane Poigny, R&D Director France, had the honor of hosting a scientific session during the congress.

In addition, our Sales team from France, including Vincent Briffaut, Anne Rachel Riviere and Christine Sira, proudly represented Mibelle Biochemistry at our booth, engaging with visitors and showcasing our latest innovations.

Over the course of the three-day conference, plus an additional day of workshops beforehand, we enjoyed exchanging ideas, presenting our own findings, getting inspiration for new projects, networking with peers, reconnecting with existing partners, and exploring exciting new collaboration opportunities. And of course, being in Cannes, we couldn’t help but feel a touch of glamour— almost like Hollywood stars walking the red carpet!

A big thank you to the organizers for hosting such an inspiring event!
