Pinolumin™ // Fuldera

y

Pinus cembra is a species of pine tree that typically grows at altitudes of 1500 – 2500m where winters are particularly long and temperatures are consistently low. This pine grows preferentially on cold and windy hillsides, although the Swiss stone pine grows at a very slow rate: By the time it is 600 years old it is likely to reach a height of 25 meters. Wood from Swiss stone pine is used to make beds as research has revealed that the Wood of Swiss stone pine is conducive to relaxation and deep sleep phases. We source the wood for our Pinolumin from a local sawmill in the small town Fuldera as chips remaining from the furniture production.

Black BeeOme™ // Linthal

yThe honey used for Black BeeOme™ is produced by the rare and old dark bee species Apis mellifera. This species belongs to the Pro Specie Rara and is, amongst others, native to the isolated Münster Valley or the valleys in the canton Glarus. The bees of this species are slightly taller, more gentle and more resistant than the classic honey bees.

We source our honey for Black BeeOme™ from beekeepers of different locations in the Münster Valley and Glarus. They are all dedicated to their bees with a lot of heart and passion.

AnaGain™ // Mauren

ySprouts from organic peas were selected as a source of AnaGain™ due to their being rich in phytonutrients. The pea sprouts are cultivated in the Swiss family-run company Sprossana, which is located in Mauern TG since its establishment in 2004. The original thought behind cultivating sprouts was the health aspect, since sprouts have a very high vital substance content. Today, Sprossana is highly specialized on the dynamic cultivation of different types of shoots. In intensive manual work, over 20 different sprout varieties are cultivated by the company 7 days a week.

Lipobelle™ Glacier // Dorénaz

yLipobelle™ Glacier is based on pure Swiss glacier water encapsulated into liposomes. In a spectacular high alpine setting in the heart of the Valais Alps, the Swiss glacier water begins its yearlong journey during which it is filtered and naturally enriched with minerals and trace elements. Lipobelle™ Glacier delivers purity, freshness and a ‘feel of Switzerland’ as emotional values that successfully combine with proven hydration efficacy.

IceAwake™ // Zermatt

yIceAwake™ is based on an extract of the bacterium Iodobacter ssp. which is produced from the ground beneath a Swiss glacier in Zermatt, Valais. Due to the constant shrinking of glaciers in the past few decades, microbes that were previously hidden below a permanent layer of ice have now become accessible. Iodobacter ssp has been identified an extremophilic bacterium which has been reawakened following many years lying dormant below the glacier. The bacteria are now cultivated in-house in bioreactors.

Alpine Rose Active  // Bergün

aThe alpine rose (Rhododendron ferrugineum) is an evergreen cold-resistant shrub with spectacular, bell-shaped pink flowers, which grows at high altitudes in the Alps. The alpine rose can live for more than 100 years and is able to adapt to very challenging environmental conditions such as large variations in temperature, UV and dryness. We source the alpine rose leaves from the local farmer Urs Heinrich, who lives with his family in Bergün, a charming little village up in the mountains. The leaves are carefully handpicked, and this practice is completely sustainable as the leaves are regenerated the following year.

PhytoCellTec™ Malus Domestica // Uttwil

pctUttwiler Spätlauber is a variety of a Swiss apple that derives from a seedling planted in the middle of the 18th century. It was very famous for its excellent storability without shriveling. Today apple cultivars are selected to maximize crop yield and sweet flavor. Thus Uttwiler Spätlauber with its acid taste is now disappearing. Uttwiler Spätlauber apples are rich in phytonutrients, proteins and long-living cells. The apple we used originally for our bestselling product PhytoCellTec™ Malus Domestica grew at the farm of Ueli Steiner in the small village Schlossrued. PhytoCellTec™ Malus Domestica is cultivated in-house in bioreactors.

Detoxophane / Depolluphane  // Mauren

yFor our ingredients Detoxophane and Depolluphane, we use garden cress sprout extracts. The cress sprouts are cultivated in the Swiss family-run company Sprossana, which is located in Mauern TG since its establishment in 2004.

GSP-T // Küttigen

yGrapes (Vitis vinifera) and in particular the red species such as Pinot Noir are extremely rich in procyanidins, which are mostly located in the seeds. Originating from Burgundy in France, the Pinot Noir grape has been cultivated since the first century to make the Burgundy and Champagne wines. For GSP-T, Pinot Noir grapes from Swiss plantations in Küttigen were used. They contain comparably higher amounts of procyanidins because of the altitude, the cool and dry climate and the chalky soils.

VinUp-Lift // Döttingen

yVinUp Lift contains Swiss ice wine, a select type of wine, which is produced by leaving the grapes to freeze on the vine before harvesting. A risky procedure, as only the healthiest grapes will stay fresh until the late harvest. The resulting high-quality wine is sweet and more concentrated than regular wine and possesses a different molecular composition due to its only partial fermentation. The grapes used for our active VinUp Lift are sourced from a vineyard in Döttigen.
